My name is Caroline and I've been married for almost 13 years to a wonderful man and we have two amazing children. We moved to Naperville, IL from Upstate NY about 2 1/2 yrs ago. My husband served in the Navy for 11 yrs (Submarines) and I was a PROUD Navy wife. I held the fort down during his deployments. I was pregnant with my daughter for his 1st patrol and was prepared to have her "alone" but she was born 3 days after he returned. We've moved so MANY times and have met some amazing people along the way. We've lived in Orlando, FL, Saratoga Springs, NY, St. Marys, GA, and now Naperville. We made a very hard decision to leave the Navy in 2008. That's what brought us here to IL.
Since moving here we bought a new home (finally sold our home in NY in December Yay!), I went back to school and now I'm starting this new venture..... A Festive Touch - Event Planning/Design.
Since I was a child I've always enjoyed creating and designing. I've staged homes and designed interior spaces in the past. But it was placed on the "back-burner" so I could be a stay at home mom. My kids are getting older now and I decided to enroll at College of Dupage for Interior Design. I LOVE IT! The department and people are wonderful. This semester I've added a Photography class to my load (yes I know I'm crazy) and hope to expand in Interior & Architectural Photography. I also want to learn the trade so I can take better pictures of my spaces and parties.
My goal is to bring smiles to people's faces with my designs and creativity. So thanks for stopping by and feel free to drop me a note!
